Policy for Quality, Environment and Health and Safety of Workers

LeCont s.r.l, founded in 1993 by the brothers Sergio and Valter Cont, designs and manufactures competition and high performance compounds. Having made his debut with immediate success in the sector motorcycle, the company has established itself as a leader in the karting market, before also appearing in that of motor racing. The priority commitment is to provide tyres that guarantee increasingly high quality performance in the highest conditions of safety and respect for the environment, meeting the satisfaction of drivers, event organizers and sports federations. Research and Permanent innovation is seen as crucial to maintaining and enhancing the advantage achieved. On the occasion of the health emergency of the year 2020, LeCont S.r.l. has started the production of masks with a view to actively contributing to the protection of the population, in particular the 30 dangers of the pandemic. The devices are in compliance with the quality requirements established by the UNI EN standard 14683 and UNI EN ISO 10993, in adequate quantities to respond effectively to the needs expressed by the Entities responsible for emergency management and market demand. For the two areas of activity, the Management supports the Management System for Quality, Environment and Health and Safety of workers in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, making available the resources necessary to ensure that it is effectively maintained and aimed at complying with the following principles:

  • Compliance with compliance obligations arising from applicable legislation and commitments voluntarily signed
  • Focused attention to the Customer, to ensure full satisfaction with products and services provided
  • Continuous and systematic analysis of the internal and external context in which the company operates and the needs and expectations of stakeholders. Determination of risks and opportunities and actions for deal with them
  • Environmental protection and pollution prevention: take all necessary measures to eliminate or minimise the environmental effects of production activities and the product life. Containment of resource use, waste generation and emissions pollutants
  • Ensuring safe and healthy working conditions to prevent accidents and diseases professional
  • Maintenance and development of staff skills, involvement and participation of staff employees and their representatives in the analysis of the results obtained and in the definition of improvement
  • Implementation of criteria for the acquisition of raw materials, semi-finished products, plants and equipment aimed at improving product quality levels, progressively reducing the risks to Health and safety of workers and the environment
  • Orientation towards continuous improvement, definition and periodic review of the objectives and targets of improvement

The Management constantly plans, monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of the Management System and the achievement of the objectives set. All staff are made aware of the principles expressed in this Policy and urged to actively collaborate in the improvement process by signalling opportunities and ideas for improvement or situations of danger, actual or potential, to the health and safety of persons and to the environment.
