New York Complex is set for a spectacular grand opening

This has been one of the most gratifying and challenging years for the entity we call the F-Series and now the NY Race Complex powered by LeCont. It has been a difficult task to create a circuit that will impress even the most hardcore racers while working two programs that promote the growth of the sport. But that has not stopped us from a relentless assault that has proven our team to be the best in the business. From sponsors and shops to supporters we can clearly say this could not have been done without a team effort! It is our pleasure to announce our opening date for New York Complex for the 25 of September 2017. We are beyond excited to share that our F-Series tyre supplier LeCont has become a major partner in our vision of creating what we believe will be one of the premier karting facilities in North America. With the facility meeting all the criteria of the FIA Karting approved track list, LeCont will be very active at the circuit to test new and improved tyre compounds. Being on the cutting edge of karting tyre technology will see revolutionary steps made by LeCont and New York Complex in new tyre designs. Discussions for improving rain and open dry weather compounds will also be at the top of the list. We are proud to carry the LeCont name into the US with the track officially named as a high-tech test circuit. We are extremely confident our strong relationship with WR Motorsports and LeCont ensures us a very affordable and stable platform to grow the sport on many levels.

Regarding the facility our team's effort has been focused in the resurfacing of the circuit and the on-track experience of the racer. We are confident to claim Hanson Aggregates of the Heidleberg Group has provided us with a brilliant racing surface that will provide a great track for many years of racing. Many safety measures and enhancements have been made to ensure great events that will result in fantastic racing for all categories. The infrastructure has not been overlooked as amenities are available and will continue to improve at a very aggressive pace. A very straight forward pit area will make parking big and medium size trailers simple and of course a new registration building will make entering the facility a breeze. Our opening date will be immediately followed with what any track would consider a major karting event as the F-Series Gearup Challenge decides its champions with a double header the following weekend. Some may consider this a bold move but we are confident the facility will live up to the expectations of some of the most seasoned kart racer racing in the sport. With all aspects of the facility being new there will be no advantage to an team or racer. This does bring another level of excitement to the season finally and we are anxious to make the event a big success. The future of the facility is extremely positive, with a very strong karting community in the Northeast and Canada we are confident to say races will be very competitive right from the start. We have received overwhelming interest about the track and feel in 2018 New York Complex Powered by LeCont will be a major destination for the top talent in the sport. We encourage everyone to come and enjoy the facility as this will be a great place to learn and hone your skills.
