Pikes Peak International Hill Climb 2014: LeCont in pole position with Dumas and Norma, Honda

28/06/2014

Unsurprisingly, Romain Dumas, at the wheel of the Norma M20 RD - Honda fitted with LeCont, conquered the pole position of the 92nd edition of Pikes Peak International Hill Climb 2014. In fact, even the third day of qualifying tests did not reserve any twist. Nobody managed to undermine Dumas from the first position, where he had installed himself on Wednesday, setting the (by far) best time in the first sector of the famous climb. Yesterday (Friday), Dumas was again the author of the best time also in the third sector, which takes the competitors up to the dizzying altitude of over 4300 meters. Meanwhile, no one has really approached his qualifying time in the first sector. He will therefore be the first to start on Sunday, preceded by the many competitors on motorcycles or quads. Among the four wheels, behind Dumas the two drivers of the Mitsubishi Miev Evolution III of the modified Electric category, Tracy and Masuoka, finished 2nd and 3rd. Followed by the veteran of Pikes Peak International Hill Climb 2014, Tajima, the American Dallenbach and our Piero Nappi. Qualification results:
